On Sunday 22nd March, the club once again had a stall at the Callington Amateur Radio Society Annual Rally. It is always a pleasure to catch up with hams from the area and often far beyond at this event. This year our stall provided a contribution to club funds, allowing us to run many more activities for members and the public in the coming year. As ever there was knowledge and laughter shared about, new connections made and plans discussed for future events. Many thanks to M0BHG, M0WMB, G0AKH and 2E0INQ for helping out on the day, all club members who came along, and CARS for yet another fantastic rally. We will be back next year!

 

Snippets from the 2025 A.G.M.

  • At the November A.G.M., it was agreed to reduce subscriptions for the 2025/26 year. They will be as follows: Adult Subscription Fees for existing S.A.D.A.R.C. members of £10-00, with a reduced subscription for new S.A.D.A.R.C. members of £5-00 (first three months free).
  • Officers for 2025/26 - Mark Chanter M0WMB remains as Chairman, Marc Bramham 2E0INQ remains as Secretary, Kevin Hale G0AKH remains as Treasurer having taken over part way during the year. See the Committee/Contact page for contact details.

60th Anniversary Social

Members of S.A.D.A.R.C. gathered for a 60th Anniversary social event and Christmas meal at Tamar View Garden Centre, Carkeel and were joined by Saltash Deputy Mayor Rachel Bullock and her consort, husband Matthew. Here are some of pictures of the event:

S.A.D.A.R.C. 60th Anniversary Special Event Station GB6OSC Report

Well a fantastic day and celebration of the 60th anniversary of the club

We did have a technical problem with the tuner, whilst tuning it smoked up, I think due to a misalignment of the selector.

The bands were awful but still managed 50 contacts even one over the pond to the U.S. (unfortunately this does not show on the map).

A very big thank you to Rika (my wife) for doing the refreshments and also Marlene Brian’s wife who helped at lunch time.

Thank you to all that supported us, and a very big thank you to St Ive Church that let us have a free run of the building. We were able to donate to St Ive Church for their kindness.
